Welcome to the GIPLA 2009-2010 Season!

• Our next event is a Luncheon with Guest Speaker on March 24, 2010:

  Topic: Operation and Function of the US International Trade Commission concerning 19 U.S.C. § 1337 (AKA "The Knock-offs stop here.")

  Speaker: Clint Gerdine, Attorney-Advisor for the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) at the US International Trade Commission. The USTR OGC is responsible for reviewing determinations of the administrative law judge concerning proceedings to determine whether a violation of 19 U.S.C. § 1337 has occurred. It also represents the Commission in appeals to the Federal Circuit of final Commission determinations

  Time: 12:00 - 1:30 lunch and presentation.  BYOL  *Presentation will begin at Noon sharp (social half-hour has been moved to the end of mtg)*

  Cost: $5 for members, $10 for non-members. Bring Your Own Lunch (BYOL). For those who would like to purchase your lunch on-site, the DOC has a great cafeteria located in the basement of the building, reachable via the building’s main entrance or the Reagan Tunnel.  (Directions: PDF format)

  Location: Rm. 1411 (1st floor), Department of Commerce (DOC); 1401 Constitution Ave. (Directions: PDF format). * If you think you'll require an escort into the building, please enter through the main 14th St. entrance. If you require assistance please call the conference room directly.
